In the Beginning....
Welcome to the Emmanuel-Memphis 2009 Trip blog - we stand a couple of months away from one of the most exciting initiatives the school has ever undertaken as we prepare to travel to Visible School, Memphis for 9 days of musical and cultural exchange. Mr Wolfe and Williams have their passports at the ready (and no you can't see the photos) and the flights are booked. We're going to be there from 10th to 18th October, and it is sure to be amazing, life-changing and inspiring all rolled into one. Attention turns immediately to the September skype co-composition lessons we'll be doing live with US students, and of course the much anticipated benefit gig to send us on our way at the end of September. Stay tuned and watch this space for more updates over the coming weeks.

Hope Emma isn't driving you crazy too much!! Imagine spending 3 weeks of her going "20 days til Memphis" and "3 days til Memphis!"

Last Friday, we even had to go to Pizza Hut to try and pass the time... but we still had "I'M GOING TO MEMPHIS" and the night before, this was our conversation:
"Becky?"
"*sigh* yes?"
"I'M GOING TO MEMPHIS!"
"You don't say..."
When she went to bed, the first thing we said was:
"She is so not gonna sleep tonight..."
Anyways, I should be doing Biology homework, so have a great time...
